Robert L Cristofaro, M.D.

Orthopaedic Surgeon Robert Cristofaro, M.D.After working on the Pediatric Orthopaedic Service at the Hospital for Joint Diseases (NYC) from 1977 until 1982, Dr Cristofaro joined the faculty at New York Medical College.

He started the Pediatric Orthopedic Service at Westchester Medical Center in 1982 and in 1985 was named Director of Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery (Westchester Medical Center, New York Medical College Orthopedic Training Program), a position he continues to the present.

Dr. Cristofaro has been involved in teaching and research for many years. He has presented his research at many local, national and international orthopaedic meetings. Many of these papers have been published in orthopaedic journals.

John M Nelson, Jr., M.D.

Orthopaedic Surgeon John Nelson, M.D.After graduating from Mt Sinai Medical School (NYC) and finishing his orthopaedic residency at the Hospital for Joint Diseases, Dr. Nelson went on to do his pediatric orthopaedic fellowship at the Scottish Rite Hospital (Atlanta, Ga).

Dr. Nelson joined Dr. Cristofaro in 1985 and became part of the training program at Westchester Medical Center where he has been involved in orthopaedic teaching and research.
